Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 13, 2026

This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Rotation website, how we use it, and how third-party services you may encounter (reservations, video, our content platform, and the optional AI concierge) fit in. We write in plain language; linked vendor pages are the authority for their own practices.

Who we are

This website is operated for Rotation (brand name: Rotation by Feast it Forward), a rotating chef residency at Oxbow Public Market in Napa Valley. Our public-facing location is 610 1st Street, Napa, CA 94559. Parent and partner information appears on our site (including Feast it Forward).

This policy describes how we handle information in connection with this website. It does not replace the privacy policies of third-party services you may use through the site (for example, when you book a table or complete a purchase on another company’s checkout).

Information we collect

You provide. When you use the Culinary Concierge chat on our site, your messages are sent to our servers to generate a reply. If you enable search-assisted answers in that chat, your request may be processed with search-related tools as part of generating the response.

Automatically. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may log technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and request metadata) when you load pages or call our APIs. If optional rate limiting is enabled for the concierge, a hashed or bucketed identifier derived from your IP may be used to enforce request limits — see Upstash if that applies to your visit.

From our CMS. Published menus, chef pages, and other editorial content are served from Sanity (content and images, including delivery via Sanity’s CDN).

Reservations. Table reservations are completed through an OpenTable embed on our Reserve a Table page. OpenTable processes booking information under its own policies: OpenTable privacy policy.

Video. Chef or venue media may include embedded video (for example from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode where applicable). Those providers may collect data under their own terms.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Operate and secure the website and concierge feature
  • Show accurate menus and residency content from our CMS
  • Respond to guest inquiries directed to our team using the contact details we publish
  • Comply with law and protect our guests, business, and the public where required

AI and Google services

The Culinary Concierge uses Google’s generative AI (Gemini) through our server-side integration. Google’s handling of data for AI features is described in Google’s documentation, including the Gemini Apps Privacy Hub and the Google Privacy Policy. Do not submit sensitive personal information you would not want a service provider to process.

Replies are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate — confirm details that matter to you (allergies, reservations, pricing) with our team or official channels.

Sharing and processors

We share information with service providers that help us run the site (for example hosting, content infrastructure, AI APIs, and optional rate limiting). Those providers process data on our behalf according to their agreements and policies. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and third-party embeds (such as OpenTable or video players) may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies needed for basic functionality, preferences, or analytics as configured by those services. You can control many cookies through your browser settings.

Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required by law. Technical logs and vendor retention schedules vary by provider; consult their policies for detail.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information, or to opt out of certain uses. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To make a request, contact us using the phone number below; we may need to verify your request.

For rights specific to OpenTable bookings or other third-party checkouts, contact those services directly.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
